Granola
Sync Granola meeting notes, summaries, and transcripts into Atisbo
Granola
Connect Granola so Atisbo automatically polls your meeting notes and turns them into product signals.
Prerequisites
- A Granola API key from the Granola desktop app
- A Business or Enterprise Granola workspace
Setup
Step 1 — Create a Granola API key
- Open the Granola desktop app
- Go to Settings → API
- Click Create new key
- Copy the token that starts with
grn_
Step 2 — Hand the key to your agent
Granola has no card in Settings. Tell your agent to connect it and give it the key when it asks, along with what you want ingested:
You: Connect Granola with key
grn_.... Ingest summaries only, and just meetings with people outside our domain.
What you can choose:
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Summary | The cleanest signal stream — start here |
| Notes | Markdown summaries with action items |
| Transcript | The full meeting transcript |
| Summary + transcript | Both the synthesised and the raw version |
You can also filter by attendee domain or by keywords in the meeting title.
Done
Atisbo runs an immediate import and then syncs once a day. The first sync looks back 7 days when there is no saved checkpoint yet. Ask your agent for a sync now if you need one sooner.
What Atisbo Captures
| Granola content | Captured |
|---|---|
AI summary (summary_text) | Yes |
Markdown notes (summary_markdown) | Yes |
| Transcript segments | Yes |
| Attendees and calendar metadata | Used as context and filters |
| Notes without a generated Granola summary/transcript | No — Granola API excludes them |
Important limitations
- Granola is polled: Atisbo calls the Granola API on a schedule. Granola never calls Atisbo, so there is no consent screen and no webhook — the API key is the whole grant.
- Personal API keys only see notes you own or that were explicitly shared with you.
- Enterprise keys can access all notes in the Team space.
- Atisbo treats Granola as an internal PM source by default because meeting notes often mix planning, decisions, and research.
Best Practices
- Start with Summary if you want low-noise signals
- Use Summary + transcript for customer interviews where exact quotes matter
- Filter by attendee domains if your Granola workspace mixes internal meetings with customer calls
- Filter by title keywords if only a subset of meeting notes should enter Atisbo
Disconnecting Granola
Ask your agent to pause or disconnect the Granola connection. Previously processed signals are preserved — disconnecting stops new meetings arriving, it does not erase evidence you already have. Revoking the key in the Granola app cuts access off at the source.
